Cristina Castelli is professor in Lifespan Development Psychology, and director of CROSS (Center of Researches on vocational guidance and career counseling). She has been working for several years in the field of Psychology of vocational guidance; she conducted researches and published several papers: she edited the books “Vocational guidance in children” and "Psychology of vocational and career guidance”. She is a member of the “GIPO” Scientific committee – (Italian Journal of Vocational guidance Psychology ). She has coordinated several vocational guidance projects, as “Ofelia” and “Retica”, for District Lombardia, and she conducted the intervention aimed at transferring the French model of "Cité des métiers" in Italy; she promoted some educational activities, such as the course in “Psychology of vocational guidance in the lifespan development” and the master program in " Vocational guidance and career counseling” and in " Expert in vocational guidance”. Recently, she has undertaken studies in the field of Emergency Psychology; she has applied the resilience paradigm in humanitarian interventions following National and International natural disaster such as the earthquake in Abruzzo, Molise, Emilia, Haiti, Chile and the tsunami in Sri Lanka. Researches in this field have been published in the books: Resilience and creativity. Theories and techniques in vulnerability contexts; Let’s help children victims of earthquake; Resilience tutors in vulnerability contexts. She directs the master program on Helping relationships in the contexts of National and International vulnerability and poverty.
